Golfytix
Designing a new mobile golf-training product that connected expert instruction, player development, and performance tracking.
Golfytix was an early-stage product built to help golfers follow a more structured path to improvement. Working directly with the founding team, I helped translate the product vision and golf-instruction expertise into a connected digital experience for players and the instructors supporting them.
The product paired a player-facing mobile app with a desktop management system for administering users, instructors, training content, and performance data. The mobile experience needed to give golfers a practical answer to a familiar question: What should I work on next, and how is that work improving my game?

Role & Ownership
I served as Lead Product Designer and Product Strategist, working directly with the founding team in a hands-on early-stage environment. I helped shape the product direction and designed the connected experiences that supported players, instructors, and internal management.
My work included the mobile app’s information architecture, onboarding, home experience, training plans, drills, warmups, on-course views, performance reporting, profile, and interaction patterns. I also designed the desktop management system used to organize the people, content, and data behind the player experience.
The product was informed by golf-industry expertise, including a PGA professional and a connection to GOLF Magazine.
The Real Problem
Golfers may receive instruction, practice drills, play rounds, and review their performance in separate places. That makes it difficult to connect what they are working on with how their game is progressing.
Golfytix needed to turn a broad golf-development program into an experience players could actually use week to week. The product had to make the next useful action clear—whether that meant starting a drill, preparing for a round, tracking a result, or understanding a specific area of performance.
Behind that player experience was a second challenge: instructors and the founding team needed a practical way to manage users, instructor relationships, training content, and the data supporting each golfer’s progress. The mobile and desktop experiences needed to work as one connected product.
What Changed / Outcome
I designed the mobile experience around a player’s current training plan and progress. The home experience made it easier to see where a golfer was in the program, what to do next, and how to reach supporting tools such as warmups, drills, round tracking, and performance results.
The experience then moved from high-level progress into more focused areas of the game, including putting, greenside play, approach shots, and driving. Players could move between instruction, practice, on-course context, and reporting without treating each as a separate product.
Alongside the mobile app, I designed a desktop management system that supported the operational side of the platform—helping the team manage users, instructors, content, and the data that informed the golfer experience.
The result was a cohesive product direction for an early-stage golf platform: a mobile experience for golfers, supported by a desktop system for the people and information behind it.
